Universal Iron and Steel is a steel trading and manufacturing business serving customers throughout Pakistan. We are established MS Sheet traders and a steel sheet manufacturer and trader, dealing in MS and GI pipes, MS sheets and plates, steel sheets, Hot Rolled Coils (HRC), Cold Rolled Coils (CRC), Galvanized Plain (GP) and colour coated (PPGI) coils, along with steel sheds and steel structures.
Our goal is simple: to be counted among the top steel traders and top steel manufacturers in Pakistan by offering genuine quality, fair pricing and dependable service. Over more than 35 years in the trade we have built a reputation on two things our customers keep coming back for — honest weight, and a price confirmed before you commit.
We buy on two fronts, which is what lets us cover both imported and local grades from one place.
We import Hot Rolled Coils (HRC) directly from China. Importing ourselves rather than buying through an intermediary means you get import pricing, and we control the timing, the specification and the documentation on your consignment. It is also why we can open a Letter of Credit on your behalf and deliver straight from Karachi Port.
On the local side we are distributors for International Steels Limited (ISL). Buying as a distributor means genuine mill material with mill documentation, at distributor pricing rather than open-market rates — and it means you can source local and imported steel from a single supplier instead of running two relationships.

We fulfil orders of any quantity. Whether you need a few sheets for a workshop job or full container and bulk tonnage for a project, the same team handles your order and the same terms apply — a confirmed rate, honest weight and a delivery date you can plan around.
Larger quantities attract better pricing, and for regular buyers we can hold material against a schedule so you are not exposed to day-to-day market movement. Tell us the volume you expect to consume and we will quote accordingly.
Imported steel is normally bought against a Letter of Credit, and arranging one is often the hardest part of an import for a buyer who does not do it regularly. We can open LCs on behalf of our customers, so you do not need your own banking arrangements or import experience to secure imported material at import pricing.
We handle the LC and the import documentation, and you deal with a single supplier and a single invoice. If you would rather open your own LC, we can supply against that instead — tell us which suits you and we will structure the order around it.
